IMAGINE. EXPERIMENT. EXPLORE

Imagine an organisation that puts media at the service of education.

Experiment with new ways of seeing research.

Explore the Oxford Academy of Documentary Film.

OADF offers workshops, courses and production services to researchers, students and university departments interested in employing film as a valuable research tool. Providing an innovative bridge between academia and visual culture, we offer technical training in broadcast-quality film production as well as create and disseminate agendas for ethical, committed and socially responsible filmmaking and broadcasting. To OADF, to visualise one's research does not simply mean to put it onscreen, but to bring those ideas to life through the rich and complex tapestry offered by the medium of film.

The Oxford Academy of Documentary Film works in association with leading British academic and professional organisations, including Oxford University Computer Services; University College London; Apple Inc.; Oxford & Cherwell Valley College; and the Royal Anthropological Institute.

The Oxford Academy of Documentary Film is proud to announce that the Oxford Ethnographic Film Society (OEFS) has been revived and will begin screenings at the end of April and into May. For more information, please see the new OEFS website.
